The Creation & Name:
The name of this small business is called Tacky Top Hat with a bit of a story behind it. I always get asked, "Why the name?!" but fortunetly it is quickly replied with a "Don't worry I like it!" because of its quirkiness. The name originates from a poster that hangs on my wall for inspiration, I have always thought top hats to be somewhat tacky, but I also really like them. The picture is of a quirky girl in a striped top and overalls with a top hat, she has a very unique pose and is just asking for attention. I believe my website and business are unique, and so bright and full of life they are just waiting to be discovered. Through the name came many simple designs, I started off with easy things, they were not much at the time but became more and more as time went on. The website began on a hosted page, hosted by friends from HarmonyLand, I then moved to livejournal for a little bit, and eventually bought my own domain name. Which is where we currently are.
